Why isn't my mic working?
- Permission prompt blocked: click the lock icon in your browser's address bar and allow microphone access for this site.
- Wrong default input: use the dropdown to pick your actual mic — laptops often default to the built-in mic even when a headset is plugged in.
- Another app is holding the mic: close Zoom, Teams, Discord or OBS and refresh this page.
- OS-level mute: check your system sound settings — macOS and Windows both have separate mute switches that browsers can't override.
